Weekend activities...swimming and baseball

This weekend was lots of fun. We joined the Hilliard pool, so we went there twice this weekend. Carson loves playing in the water. There is a lazy river, a toddler area, lots of big slides, and other pools for swimming. Carson loved watching Daddy jump/dive off the diving board. After Daddy dove off the board, Carson walked in the line and said "Now I'm going off the board too." :) We will definitely be going there a lot this summer.

On Sunday, we went to the Reds vs Indians game with Adam, Katie, and Evan, and Brian, Jenn, and Caleb. This was Carson's first baseball game and he had been talking about it all week. It was really hot that day (a 1pm game, as you can see the sweat on Carson's face as he stares intently at the game)! Carson enjoyed watching the players hit the ball ("Hit the ball guys."). After about 2 innings, Carson, Evan, and Caleb played in the play area and ate some snacks. Carson is still excited that he went to the game, so maybe we'll take him to a Clipper's game next...

Kings Island

Today we took Carson to Kings Island for the first time. He loved it! Carson went on lots of fun rides...a helicopter, Blue's Skidoo, Go Diego Go (Diego's jeep), a train ride, and his first roller coaster ride! Also, he made a friend while driving a car. He gave all of the characters that he met a big hug. We met up with Grammie Pat, Great Aunt Pam, Aunt Beth and Joe, cousin Jessie, Tim, and Great Uncle Rick while we there there too.

Going to work with Mommy

On Thursday morning, Carson went to work with me for "Take your child to work day." He had so much fun...He ate pancakes, sat in a chair in my office coloring in his book and playing with his toy trains, roamed the halls, and met lots of new people. I wish I could bring him everyday...but I wouldn't be too productive then!

Here are some recent pics of Carson and Evan. It was fun to watch the boys play together... They would crawl around the kitchen after each other (yes, Carson was crawling again!). It will be fun to watch them play together as they get older!

Easter

Carson and Mia had fun during the Easter Egg Hunt today. Carson now has a cool Elmo basket! After playing with their new toys and treats, the two cuties ate their meals at the kid's table. We also celebrated Diego 1st birthday today. Happy birthday Diego!

Grandma Sue, Grandpa Dave, and Aunt Debbie visited on Saturday. We had a fun time at the zoo. His favorite animal this time was the gorilla!

Spring Day

Pull-ups

Carson will go on the potty, but not consistently yet. A few days ago, he told us that he wanted to wear "underwears" and no more diapers. Since he is not ready for real underwear yet, we bought him some pull-ups. He he is showing off the pull-ups. He was so excited to wear them. Hopefully this means that the diaper days are numbered...

Evan's birthday

We went to Evan's 1st birthday party today! The party was in Katie and Adam's newly finished basement. Evan got some fun toys. Happy birthday Evan!

The Zoo

It was such nice weather here this weekend, so we decided to go to the zoo today. We saw elephants, lions, tigers, goats, and monkeys. Also, we went on a train ride. Carson had so much fun (and so did Mommy and Daddy)! We will be going back many times this spring and summer...

Baseball Practice

Since the weather was so nice this weekend, Carson played outside with his t-ball set. We helped him the first few tries and then he was hitting the baseball all over the yard!

Blue Jackets Game

We took Carson to his first Blue Jackets game tonight. Everytime hockey is on tv, he gets excited, so we had a feeling that he would enjoy going to a game. Carson was cheering (At one point, he said "Come on Guys" and pumped his fist), clapping, and playing close attention to the game. It was a lot of fun!

Go Daddy. Go Daddy.

Carson and Mommy cheered for Daddy ("Go Daddy...Go Daddy") during the race this morning (Arnold 5K) in downtown Columbus. Carson was very inspired by Daddy. After the race, he told Daddy "good job" and then he went home and ran sprints in the living room (s0 many sprints that he was sweating by the end of it).
